Natrayan is a research associate in the school of mechanical sciences, VIT University-Chennai, India, He received B.Tech (Mechanical engineering) and M.Tech (Engineering Design) degrees from Anna University -Chennai, Tamil Nadu, and MBA (Operational management) degree from RVD university-Rajasthan, India. He has authored 26 international articles.
