Beschreibung

This book offers an exploration of nondestructive inspection (NDI) techniques specifically designed for materials used in aerospace applications. It thoroughly examines NDI methods applicable to metallic alloys, composites, and advanced materials, covering both traditional and innovative technologies. Case studies discuss the principles, applications, and limitations of recent NDI methods, including ultrasonic testing, eddy current testing, shearography, and thermography. Additionally, the book highlights emerging trends, including the use of laser ultrasonic wavefield imaging, fiber optic inspection, and vibration-based damage detection techniques. Nondestructive Inspection for Aircraft Materials is an essential resource for aerospace professionals, engineers, and researchers. It provides valuable insights into ensuring material integrity and safety in modern aircraft manufacturing and maintenance.
