The book Lectures on Electromagnetic Fields, Waves, Energy & Their Applications (With Worked Examples), is put together in a conversational manner with adequate mathematical step-by-step explanations. The mathematical explanations became very necessary due to the imaginative nature of the subject. That notwithstanding, nearly all mathematical expressions have been thoroughly explained with adequate references made to their physical meanings. This, hopefully, would make readers to have a good understanding of the contents of the book. The last chapter of the book has been devoted to solving numerous examples often encountered by students in Electromagnetic Fields & Waves. It is hoped that the worked examples would enable readers to acquire deeper understanding of the subject. The book adequately covers the syllabus for B.Sc. degree requirements in Electromagnetic Fields & Waves. It would equally serve as a good refresher source for higher degree students of Electrical Engineering.

Professor Umana Itaketo teaches Electrical/Control Engineering courses and Applied Mathematics to Postgraduate students at the University of Uyo, Uyo, Nigeria. He has published several textbooks in Electrical and Control Engineering for higher degree students. Also, he has published well over 50 academic research papers in world-accredited journals.
