The Impact of IT in the financial sector during the Global Downturn is of utmost relevance to the CIOs of major financial institutions. The focus of the topic is primarily on the banks. It is a common trend for an industry empowered with IT services, to cut down on IT expenditure during tough times. Needless to say, that it will be on a high during times of global recessions. Our research aims at objectively looking and questioning the assumptions regarding IT and technology spends to improve chances of survival during a trough in the global markets.
