The work is dedicated to the students and engineers involved in studying the heat treatments and is designed in an e-learning format. The manuscript contains applications of heat treatments technologies applied to the both metallic and non-metalic materials and their alloys in order to modify enhancing knowledge and technical skils and also for the proper development and deepening of heat treatments processes.

The author is Associate Professor at Transilvania University of Brasov, Romania, Departament of Material Science. Her main teaching and research activities are based on heat treatments of metals and alloy, unconventional treatments, microscopy and image analysis
