Beschreibung

Organizations seek to cut the cost of intermediaries through direct deal with the consumers and share information with the Internet users as well as encourage customers to shop on-line. One of the main problems faced by organisations in on-line shopping is that Internet users are scared and reluctant to send sensitive information through the Internet. In fact customers scared that, during the transactions hackers and Internet interlopers will misuse their information. This study suggests that there are some security features such as authentication, authorization, privacy and encryption can influence users perceptions of security for on-line transactions and contribute toward enhancing customers perceptions that the on-line transactions are secure and safe to send sensitive information and shop on-line. In this study a questionnaire was used to gather information from the general Internet users, a total of 150 questionnaires was used in this study to obtain the Internet users perceptions of security. The results of this study indicated that, importance of protection on perceived security of on-line transactions was negative.
