This book focuses on essential aspects of the systems and control theory of two-dimensional (2D) time-delay systems. The content of this book is subject to the state-of-the-art research in the field, including the stability and performance analysis, stabilization, and control design of various time-delay systems. Primarily based on most recent research, this book presents the above areas using analysis schemes first developed by the author for various classes of 2D time-delay systems. The effectiveness of the proposed methods and their advancements are theoretically and numerically illustrated by various examples. With an overview of the latest advances and pioneering methods for studying 2D time-delay systems, the book is very useful to postgraduate students and academic researchers to look insights in the systems and control theory of 2D time-delay systems. It is also of significant interest to practitioners engaged in automatic control engineering and applied mathematics.
Autorenporträt
Le Van Hien is a researcher and senior lecturer at the Faculty of mathematics and informatics, Hanoi National University of Education, Hanoi, Vietnam. He completed his undergraduate degree in mathematics in 2001, master degree in mathematics in 2004, and his Ph.D. from Hanoi National University of Education in 2011. Dr. Hien began with the Faculty of mathematics and informatics, Hanoi National University of Education, in 2001, where he is currently an associate professor in mathematics (since 2014) and serves as the dean of the Faculty of mathematics and informatics (since 2021). He has worked extensively in the field of systems and control theory of dynamical systems. In particular, his research interests include the qualitative theory of differential-difference equations, time-delay systems, and hybrid systems. He has published a book chapter and more than 90 papers in high ranking journals.
