PEDOT is the only conducting polymer that is commercially produced on a large-scale.The properties of PEDOT depend on counterions, which led to the development of PEDOT:PSS, or poly(3,4-ethylenedioxythiophene) poly(styrenesulfonate), dispersions, which is the basic form of the commercial product. Dr. Yingjie Xing obtained his PhD degree in Physical Electronics in 2003 at Peking University (China). He has been an associated professor in School of Electronics Engineering and Computer Science at Peking University since 2008. His current research interests include organic electronics and nanomaterials.
