We are living a life with full of colors and pictures we daily see, a life without sight is dark and blind people are alive with the dark lives. Its not like just helping a blind person to cross the road we have to do something more for them as a human being. In the current world about 40 million people suffered from blindness and about 140 million people are suffered from low vision and if we talk about India we are having the worlds largest number of people suffering from blindness. Technology has created many pathways for the mankind. Now technology has been improved to that extent that entire human body can be controlled using a single electronic chip. Technology is also developed to introduce bionics for artificial vision. The objective of bionic eye is the same as to restore visual signal to whom suffering from eye disease. This technology can add life for their vision.

Prof R D Badgujar is currently working as Assistant Professor in the department of Electronics and Telecomm. Engg. at R C Patel Institute of Technology, Shirpur, Maharashtra (India). He is persuing PhD in Retinal image processing in KBC North Maharashtra University, Jalgoan.
