Applied Signal Processing Using MATLAB presents a project-oriented framework for understanding signal processing theory. The book aims to allow readers to benefit from the teaching experience of experts in various applied signal processing fields by presenting material in a project-oriented framework. Each chapter exposes how to design a given signal processing system for solving a real engineering problem (as opposed to those handled in textbooks, which often address academic, theory-related problems). Chapter themes are chosen so as to naturally lead to the understanding of specific tools, while showing their practical use. The book includes coverage of speech, signals and image processing projects.
