This is the first book on Additive Manufacturing that provides an original theory for the entire subject. It is the culmination of a search for the root cause of manufacturing problems that occur in practice. The author finds a reason why there are only two types of layer arrangement for manufacturing products and divides fabrication problems in additive manufacturing into two types: solvable and unsolvable. This allows readers to anticipate/avoid difficulty in manufacturing, saving materials, time, and resources.

Sanjay Kumar, Ph. D (Additive manufacturing), did post-PhD research in additive manufacturing at following places: Utah State University (USA), National Laser Centre (South Africa), Shanghai Jiao Tong University (China) and York University (Canada). He has been active in additive manufacturing research for last twenty years (H-index 20). He is the author of Additive Manufacturing Processes, 2020, Additive Manufacturing Solutions, 2022, and Additive Manufacturing Classification, 2022 and Additive Manufacturing Advantage, 2023, Springer, Cham.
