The purpose of the book is to enable readers learn the basic skills of using a computer as a central tool for pursuing their studies. It provides a general introduction to the broad aspect of computer system, how it works a brief history of the computer and basic components of a computer. In addition, readers will be grounded in the proper use of the internet for research and depth understanding of commonly used applications software or packages that relate to daily routines I.e. Microsoft Word, Microsoft Power Point and Microsoft Excel.

Dr. Businge was born in 1983, He has PhD in Management Information System (2017), Masters of Science in Information Systems (2010) and Bachelor of Computer Engineering (2007) .He has been teaching in University since 2008 in private and public universities in Uganda. He has several Journal articles and presented papers at international level.
