Dr. Sarwar Beg is currently serving as Assistant Professor of Pharmaceutics & Biopharmaceutics at School of Pharmaceutical Education and Research, Jamia Hamdard, New Delhi, Dr Sarwar has expertise in implementation of Quality by Design (QbD) in formulation development and analytical development of generic products. He has over a decade of experience in systematic development and characterization of novel and nanostructured drug delivery systems using QbD paradigms including Design of Experiments (DoE), Quality Risk Management (QRM), Multivariate Chemometric Approaches, Advanced Biopharmaceutics and Pharmacokinetic. Besides, Dr Sarwar has acquired know-how of applying advanced release kinetic modeling, pharmacokinetic modeling and in vitro/in vivo correlation (IVIVC) for efficient development of drug products. Till date, he has authored over 170 publications including research and review papers in high impact peer-reviewed journals, 10 journal special issues, 13 books, 45 book chapters and 3 Indian patent applications. He currently serves as the Regional Editor-Asia of the journal Current Nanomedicine (Bentham Science) and is an editorial board member of several other journals. He has been awarded with prestigious Sun Pharma Science Foundation Award 2017 by Honble Health Minister of India, Innovative Pharma Researcher Award 2016 by SIPRA Lab (Hyderabad), Eudragit® Award 2014 in South-Asia by M/s Evonik (Germany), Budding QbD Scientist Award 2014 and Budding ADME Scientist Award 2013 by M/s Select Biosciences (UK) and Novartis Biocamp Award 2012 (Hyderabad). Besides, Dr Sarwar is a visiting researcher to many academic institutes/universities and pharma industrial houses for delivering expert lectures and hands-on training seminars.
