Beschreibung
Scarcity of freshwater resources is a severe impediment to development worldwide in general and in the Arab Region in particular, due to the rapid population growth and increase in the demands for fresh water to meet the requirements for the future development of coastal and desert communities. Thus, desalination is no longer an option among alternatives but it represents a strategic direction that must be adopted. Hence scientific and technical efforts are directed towards the development of economic large scale desalination systems.
