The Focus of the book is to gain the basic knowledge about petroleum refining process and production of petrochemical products. The target audience will understand the classification, composition and testing methods of crude petroleum / product to develop innovative refining process and develop quality control and assurance techniques. The fundamental knowledge of Cracking, Thermal Cracking, Vis-breaking, Catalytic Cracking (FCC), Hydro Cracking is explained with detailed diagrams of processing units. Students will be apply the knowledge of treatment processes to develop the manufacture of petroleum products.

Dr Jayato Nayak is Ph.D from NIT Durgapur with research interest in Green Technology, Process Intensification, Photocatalytic fuel development and Waste management. He is Associate Professor in Chemical Engineering Department of VSB Engineering College Karur, TamilNadu India. Dr. Nayak is an Honorary Brand Ambassador of BENTHAM SCIENCE Publisher.
