Renu Kumari is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Metallurgical and Materials Engineering at the National Institute of Technology, Jamshedpur, India; her research interests are metal extraction, refining processes, and development of advanced alloys. Glen Andrew Porter is a Professor in the College of Engineering at the National Kaohsiung University of Science and Technology, Taiwan; his research interests are industrial automation, smart manufacturing systems, and materials engineering. Priyatosh Sahoo is a Researcher in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at TU Darmstadt, Germany; his research interests are process optimization, simulation, and predictive modeling for advanced materials. J. Paulo Davim is a Full Professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at the University of Aveiro, Portugal; his research interests are manufacturing processes, machining, tribology, and surface engineering.
