Nature has given birth to mankind and taking care for their survival. Advancement of diversified need and requirements of the society, new technology and processing/availability of newer materials is a major issue. Composite materials are replacing many traditionally used materials/components and increasing their market demand progressively. These are also becoming the substitute at many junctures due ease of availability and low manufacturing cost. In recent years, natural resources are in focus for researchers to develop better materials with tailor made properties using unskilled local artesian and to generate/promote rural employment. Now a days, natural fibers are been used as reinforcements in polymer matrix composite and is an emerging area of research. However, this book emphasizes the pre treatment of these natural fibers with different chemicals and the effect of their resulting properties and also the properties imparted when used as reinforcement in processing polymer matrix composite. This book will be very much essential and useful to the researchers and the scientists community to develop further in processing natural fiber reinforced polymer composites.

Prof. Mishra has more than thirty years of academic and research experience in the area of Materials Science and Technology.He bagged many awards and achievements to his credit. Investigator of many sponsored research projects, guided few Ph.D's and editor of few Engineering and Medical journals. He has published eight books and hundreds of papers.
