Beschreibung
The main draw back in the application of sisal fibre and other vegetable fibres in the reinforcement of ordinary Portland cement, as constructional materials, is due to the variability of their properties and lack of understanding on how to increase their performance in terms of strength and durability. This book gives an insight into the enhancement of durability of cementitious matrix reinforced with vegetable fibres, by application of a ternary blend of fly ash and calcined waste crushed clay bricks as pozzolanas.
Autorenporträt
Professor Patrick Oguguo Nwankwo attended undergraduate and graduate studies in Civil and Structural Engineering at University of Portsmouth and the Victoria University of Manchester in England. He rose to the rank of Professor of Structural Engineering at the University of Jos. He has several international journal publications to his credit.
