This book addresses the challenges of a culturally diverse work force on construction site s in Abuja the capital of Nigeria. As we seek to look into the problems of diversity there is need to mitigate them for the benefit of humanity. It looks at various construction sites in Abuja with multicultural workforce from different parts of Nigeria and people from other parts of the world. Skills are not uniformly distributed across these cultures and all these skills are needed for effectiveness, quality and profitability. Contribution of each tribe and culture has brought the world to its present level of advancement and development and its continuing in reshaping the world for good. This book explore the situation in Abuja, Nigeria as it affects the construction industry which is one of the most visible products of any developing economy.Problems of diversity are enormous ranging from language of communication to, behaviour, attitude, religion, tribalism, nepotism, and so on and their resultant effect on quality of service and productivity, this book outline useful areas of overcoming these problems by proffering workable solutions to them.

Mrs. Adebisi Bamgbade obtained her M. Tech and B. Techfrom the Federal University of Technology, Minna. Her current research areas is cultural diversityin the construction industry. She presently worked with the Department of Building, Federal University of Technology, Minna. She is married to Engr. Olusegun Bamgbade.
