In the come-as you are pavilions, a kind of Kamikaze amusement park, various offerings were designed to satisfy the most violent, voyeuristic, and prurient desires of those who went or were sent there. Much of what actually takes place in the pavilions is revealed in very explicit detail through the eye witness accounts of a courageous journalist from a leading magazine. Other characters that inhabit this tale include supporters and opponents of Mufflans program, especially the pavilionsthese running the gamut from politicians to religious leaders and their followers.

The author was born in McKinney, Texas. In addition to a fulfilling career in the U.S. Army, Clarence worked as a technical writer and editor for 20 years . He is married, and he and his wife Ginny have a grown son and a daughter. He is also the author of Mama Squad, Wheezer's World, and The World's Oldest Recruit.
