I do believe that the science means constantly walking a tightrope between blind faith and curiosity; between expertise and creativity; between bias and openness; between experience and epiphany; between ambition and passion; and between arrogance and conviction - in short, between an old today and a new tomorrow. This current technology of using the micro-optical sensors could fill the gap between mind and machine. Remember that the science fiction is any idea that occurs in the head and doesn't exist yet, but soon will, and will change everything for everybody, and nothing will ever be the same again. As soon as you have an idea that changes some small part of the world you are writing science fiction. It is always the art of the possible, never the impossible.

Amir R. Ali is Assistant Professor in Mechatronics Engineering Department at the German University in Cairo (GUC). Amir is the founder and general director of the ARAtronics Lab at the GUC. He received PhD degree in Mechanical Engineering in 2015 from SMU in Dallas, Texas, USA. His research focuses on developing micro-optical sensors bases on WGM.
