This book presents a complete set of mathematical explanations related to effective mass (kp) method of estimating band structure. This method may be found difficult to penetrate for unprepared reader, as it is strongly rely on the Group and Representations theory. The text is prepared in the way that it will be a very useful assistance for beginners in understanding the math behind the band structure calculations.
Autorenporträt
I was born in Uzbekistan in 1991. Studied in National University of Uzbekistan with speciality "Semiconductor devices" under Prof. Sergey Vlasov supervision. In 2014 was accepted to Wilfrid Laurier University and was working there with Prof. Marek S. Wartak on the theory of band structure of semiconductors.
