Beschreibung
A simplified neutron spectroscopy system based on successive rectangular parallel layers of BF-3 followed sequentially by water layers is designed. The response matrix and the unfolding approach of the detectors are simulated and estimated using MCNP-4C for the proposed system. Two different dimensions are investigated. MCNP-4C is used to estimate the response functions of both systems. Water as a common liquid moderator is used instead of solid paraffin in developing this system. It got simpler, cheaper, and handy in comparison to the classic systems. The current technique is feasible, one-shot, portable, and integrated module.
