Burns constitute public health hazard and occur from electricity, fires, chemicals, hot water, steam, smoke inhalation and radiation. Burns incidents have resulted in colossal damage to families and nations and therefore require attention of all and sundry. Experts in burn treatment and management are few while our fire services establishment lack necessary equipment to adequately and promptly combat outbreaks. Control and preventive measures are highlighted for the benefit of all. This book is recommended for all homes, schools, universities, public libraries, fire services outfits and the general public. Burns from fires occur more often than other causes, therefore everyone is expected to be aware of all preventive approaches.
Autorenporträt
Ikpe Vitalis worked in a regional burn Centre as the director of laboratory services. He is currently a lecturer at Caritas University Enugu and the Head of the department of Biochemistry. He holds a PhD Degree in Biochemistry from University of Nigeria Nsukka, a member of Nigeria Society of Biochemistry and molecular Biology, fellowship MLSCN, FCAI.
