Beschreibung
The anomalies of head and neck are extremely vast and varied. The prevalence of craniofacial syndromes is diverse and depends on stringency of diagnostic criteria. These result in a wide array of morbidities, including cardiovascular, metabolic, neurocognitive and behavioural sequelae, significantly impacting on quality of life. Syndromes have been grouped depending on the area affected as syndrome of bone, muscle, central nervous system, hamartoneoplastic and syndromes with chromosomal abnormalities. Optimal growth, development and learning of an individual require recognition and intervention at an early stage in patients presenting with syndromes of head and neck.
