This book contains various recent advances in Periodontics like newly designed orthodontic tooth brush, nuclear magnetic resonance used for the study of metabolics of periodontal disease, periosteum used as a barrier membrane in the flap surgery, interdental papilla dimension measured by ultra sound, use of laser in root canal treatment, effect of various mouthwashes on the levels of interferon in chronic gingivitis, management of dental hypersensititvity by various desensitizing agents, orthodontic movement by corticotomy technique, and width of attached gingiva in children measured by newly designed instrument. Dr. C. S Saimbi did MDS in Periodontics from King George's Medical College, India & worked in various faculty positions and retired as Dean in 2010. Presently he is a Professor in UCMS College of Dental Surgery, Nepal. He is awarded Alarsin Award by Indian Society of Periodontology. He is marked as World Periodontics Scientist by the Government.
