Despite modern advances in the prevention of dental caries and an increased understanding of the importance of maintaining the natural dentition, many teeth are still lost prematurely. This can lead to malocclusion, aesthetic, phonetic or functional problems that may be transient or permanent in nature. The pulp forms the most integral part of the tooth. Maintaining its vitality is important in young immature permanent teeth to continue apexogenesis. Long term favourable prognosis of immature teeth should be the goal of every practicing dentist. Thus, successful endodontic treatment of pulp is essential for long - lasting and valuable restorative care in the adolescent patient.
