Molar incisor hypomineralization is a developmental defect found mainly in incisors and molars. Worldwide prevalence of MIH shows a wide variation ranging from 2.4% to 40%. Molar incisor hypomineralization is an important clinical problem of concern to a pediatric dentist due to its challenging management. The affected tooth are prone to dental caries with the lapse of time; more complex restorations in the later stage and repeated breakdown of tooth and restoration which further aggravates the problem. This book deals with the development, prevalence, etiology and the management protocol for early diagnosis and definitive management for the same.

Dr. Ankit Varun completed his B.D.S. from KLE University, Belgaum (Karnataka) in the year 2012 after which he practiced as a junior dentist in a private dental clinic for one year. He is now pursuing M.D.S. in Pediatric Dentistry (final year) from A.B Shetty institute of Dental Science, Mangalore (Karnataka).
