With the use of Operating microscope in surgical endodontics has overcome many shortcomings to techniques used previously. Advancements in microsurgical instruments and root end filling materials has given arise to new era of microsurgery. Microsurgery being a minimally invasive technique and it provides less postoperative pain and oedema and faster wound healing,which offers a significant success rate than traditional apical surgery techniques.
