Diagnosis and treatment planning is the very foundation of a good treatment outcome. Cephalometrics forms a very essential part of this foundation in orthodontics. However, many studies have indicated the presence of variations in the cephalometric norms amongst different population.This book contains a detailed study on the variation in cephalometric norms between different population and also establishes the Tweed's cephalometric norms for the Assamese population of India which will help in establishing a more accurate diagnosis, treatment plan and hence better results.

Dr Poonam Majumder is a practising orthodontist. She has graduated in dentistry (BDS), followed by specialising in Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics (MDS) from Regional Dental College, Guwahati, Assam. She has published numerous articles in national and international journals in the field of orthodontics.
