Visual evoked potential testing has a great scope in the assessment of CNS abnormalities in patients suffering from type-2 diabetes mellitus. Pattern reversal visual evoked potentials (PVEP) were evaluated in patients with type-2 diabetes mellitus and effect of duration of diabetes on evoked potential was analyzed. This research aims to evaluate the aspects of visual function in diabetes and the usefulness of visual evoked potential testing as a screening tool for the early assessment of the neurological involvement in diabetic patients.
