A recent study shows that aceclofenac in potential threat to critically endangered vultures in India.Despite the ban on diclofenac in veterinary practice,other NSAIDs such as aceclofenac are still used widely.Vultures feeding on the carcass of recently treated livestock with aceclofenac suffer acute kidney failure within few days of exposure leading to further decline in remaining vulture population.This book may help in conservation of Gyps vultures in Indian continents & useful to the poultry farmers to reduce chick mortality caused by visceral gout.
