Goats are major household animals in several part of the world. They consume low quality feed and can easily adapt to distinct environmental conditions. The total goat population in Pakistan is estimated as 66.6 million heads which annually produce milk (82,2000 tons), meat 65,7000 tons) and skins (25,664 million).Reproduction is the major factor for the economy of livestock. The fertility of male is more important than female fertility in reproduction because one male can mate with many females. The biochemical components of seminal plasma can influence sperm motility, morphology, acrosome reaction and fertility. Seminal plasma consists of ions (sodium, potassium, calcium, chloride, phosphate, magnesium), organic compounds (hormones, cytokines, peptides, proteins, amino acids, citric acid) etc. This book reports the correlation between biochemical composition and semen quality in teddy goat (capra hircus) bucks

Dr. Umar Saqib is a veterinary graduate and has recently completed his M.Phil degree program in Theriogenology under supervision of Prof. Dr. Maqbool Ahmad Dogar from University of Agriculture Faisalabad Pakistan. Besides private preactice, he is a candidate for PhD in the same subject from University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences Lahore.
