Beschreibung
This book gives a brief history of submandibular gland surgery and describes submandibular gland embryology, histology, surgical anatomy, and applied physiology. It discusses the recent advances in many topics of submandibular gland surgery including, evaluation of submandibular gland disease, management of sialolithiasis (calculi), inflammatory disorders (sialadenitis), sialadenosis (sialosis), benign and malignant tumors, as well as conventional and recent techniques of submandibular sialadenectomy.
Autorenporträt
Mahmoud Sakr, MD, PhD, FACS, graduated in 1981 and completed Master's Degree (MS) and doctorate degree (PhD) in Surgery at the Faculty of Medicine, Alexandria University, Egypt. He had his fellowship in Surgery and Organ Transplantation at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine, Pennsylvania, USA. He is currently a Professor of Surgery.
