This work provides insight into the potential of fruit peels to develop new therapeutics for various metabolic disorders. This book will be beneficial for medicine, biochemistry and biotechnology students. I hope that it will also be helpful for drug discovery scientists to explore novel compounds from fruits and vegetable wastes. Besides, this book also contains many protocols to develop animal models of metabolic disorders. Description of many biochemical tests will be helpful for hands-on training to students.

I did my Ph.D.(Life Science) in 2009 and presently pursuing postdoctoral studies from Faculty of Medicine(Pilsen),Charles University, Prague. I have touched upon various domains of disease biology viz. oncology, metabolic disorders, inflammatory problems, and Alzheimer's disease using in silico, in vitro and in vivo studies.
