One of the major aspects of tumor cell invasion and metastasis is the interaction between cancer cells and the Tumor Microenvironment. This book focuses on tumor microenvironment, its cellular and molecular components, and how they can affect tumor progression. Importantly, events and molecules implicated in this cross talk within the tumor microenvironment have emerged as attractive targets in anticancer therapeutic intervention.As all the new directions for drug development are based on the wide knowledge of tumor microenvironment, understanding the mechanisms modulating tumor microenvironment described here may in future facilitate the design of a novel anticancer therapy and may obtain greater success in cancer eradication.
