Stroke is the third leading cause of death and the leading cause of disability in developed countries, yet remains a poorly treated condition. Variability is also one of the key determinants of gait after stroke. This book aims at emphasizing the importance of early ambulatory assessment and training through limb overloading. Restoring human motor and cognitive function has been a fascinating research area during the last century.
