Indigenous Knowledge on Herbal Medicine is an area that provides the basis of understanding modern medicines in the prevention and cure of both communicable and chronic diseases. Researchers, Teachers and students at all levels of education have been longing for a book that would enable them to understand and appreciate indigenous Herbal medicine, define and research on issues impacting on Health, Education and society. In this book, the author underscores the big and serious gap that exist between indigenous knowledge on Herbal medicine and Modern Knowledge on Modern Medicines. This book deals with pertinent issues that demystify indigenous Herbal Medicine. This book was written after a lot of research among Kalenjin communities living in Trans-Nzoia County, Kenya. The objective of the author is to grasp both indigenous knowledge on Herbal medicine and concretely the modern concepts and principles of modern medicines based on relevant analysis of recent research in most parts of the world. This book is intended to augment research, teaching and learning skills of researchers in the fields of medicine, Education, Humanities and assist students in their studies.
