This book is very important for the orthopaedic surgeons because it discusses the up-to date information about the Recent Concept for the Management of Legg-Calve´-Perthes disease. RANKL is known as a type II membrane protein and is a member of the tumor necrosis factor (TNF) superfamily. RANKL has been identified to affect the immune system and control bone regeneration and remodeling. Not to be confused with RANK, the osteoclast cell-surface receptor that binds to RANKL. So, the Anti resorptive drugs has new role in the treatment of the disease.

Prof Dr. Mohamed Elzohairy is working as an orthopaedic surgery consultant and Assistant professor of orthopaedic surgery at orthopaedic surgery department, faculty of medicine and hospitals in Zagazig University, Egypt. He has a great experience in pediatric unit and arthroplasty Unit, at the orthopaedic Department.
