Beschreibung
This book presents a study on the importance of the assessment of quality of life of cancer patients in South Africa. In order to maintain and improve quality of life of cancer patients during the illness trajectory, frequent assessment of the patients' quality of life should be done to identify problems which impact on quality of life timeously. If problems are addressed as early as possible, unnecessary suffering can be prevented for patients and their families and loved ones. This study developed and validated a quality of life assessment instrument which is appropriate for cancer patients in South Africa.
Autorenporträt
Dr Kotie Jansen van Rensburg is a lecturer in Oncology Nursing at the University of the Witwatersrand in Johannesburg and the Tshwane University of Technology in Pretoria in South Africa. She started her Oncology Nursing training in 2002 and completed her Master's degree in 2011 and PhD in 2016.
