Since ancient times, humankind has used plants to treat basic infectious illnesses. Plant-derived drugs remain an important resource, especially in developing countries, to combat serious diseases. It is a certain belief that the investigation of therapeutic plants as antimicrobial, antioxidant, anticancer agents are essential for acquisition insight into medicinal flora and their real value, however, In this book, our goal is trying to explain toward simple methods of extraction and utilizing them for medical treatment.

We both were born in Tehran, Iran. We hold our B.Sc. in Plant Protection, and M.Sc. in Plant Pathology (Plant Virology) in Tehran, Iran. We received our Ph.D. degree in Microbiology and Nutrition, respectively, in Malaysia.
