The author is a Nursing Officer working as the National Co-ordinator and the Triage Team Leader in the Accident and Orthopardic Service of the National Hospital of Sri Lanka. She is a senior lecturer in the Faculty of Nursing Sciences' and Universities. Furthermore she is the President of Accident and Emergency Nursing Association of Sri Lanka.
