Timely reviews of molecules and cellular properties considering role of macrophages in disease which could be exploited to develop new drugs. The present volume covers a range of subjects and provides opportunities for a more focused macrophage-targeted approach. Overall, the volume should provide a broad sample of the state of the art, including complex, neglected areas eg lipid diseases. Useful reviews and references in the literature are cited within individual chapters. Suitable for graduates up, beneficial to postdocs, experimental scientists (academic and industry) and clinicians, including immunologists and pathologists.
