Isamu Ogura is a Group Leader at the Research Institute of Science for Safety and Sustainability, National Institute of Advanced Industrial Science and Technology (AIST), Japan. His main research fields include emission and exposure assessment, environmental fate analysis, and risk assessment of chemical substances as well as particulate materials such as nanomaterials and microplastics. Katsuhide Fujita is a senior staff at the Research Institute of Science for Safety and Sustainability, National Institute of Advanced Industrial Science and Technology (AIST), Japan. His research focuses on the toxicological evaluation of nanomaterials using cultured cells and experimental animal models. Leveraging comprehensive gene expression analyses, he aims to elucidate the molecular mechanisms underlying nanomaterialinduced toxicity and associated inflammatory responses.
