Researchers and academic staff with interest in life sciences worked together to write this book, presenting their experiences in the field of telemedicine/(tele)monitoring/education, applied for health sciences. These works were presented in the frame of International Conference - New Trends on Sensing-Monitoring-Telediagnosis for Life Sciences - NT SMT-LS 2015 (Brasov, September 3-5, 2015), conference sustained by Ministry of Education and Scientific Research (ANCSI) from Romania.

Mihaela Badea and Laura Floroian are teachers at Transilvania University of Brasov, Romania.They are involved in different international and national projects having as aims: monitoring of different biologic active compounds, with impact in life sciences (environmental control, food safety, medicine), developing new biomaterials, and telemedicine.
