There are many diseases that torment and victimize mankind but none-can compare with Cancer. Statistics tells us that out of an estimated 5 millions annual deaths in the world are attributed to cancer (WHO 1979). All the skills available of Physicians and Surgeons have not yet been able to stop this march of death. Cancer is an affliction of the human flesh due to some unknown agent which first undermines the body resistance and then plants the disease where it can develop unchallenged at will. The study of Ayurvedic classics has revealed that the symptomatology of the disease entity Arbuda can be correlated to that of tumor or cancer. The method available in modern medical science to treat a patient of cancer, unfortunately none of them are considered as the sole reply to the disease, over and above all they has got unwelcome side effects and the limitations of their use. C.C.R.A.S highlight the anticancerous activity of Bhallataka Oil and Raudra which is classically known anti cancerous recipe described Ayurvedic texts. This is the clinical study has been done for searching the efficacy of these drugs.
