Postpartum care refers to support provided to both mother and her child during six weeks after delivery. Around the world, it is recognized that postnatal care is crucial in maintaining and promoting the health of the woman and the newborn baby, while providing an opportunity for health professionals to identify, monitor and manage health conditions that may develop in the mother and newborn during the postnatal period. Hence this book has find out the attention need to be given to quality of PNC on top of improving utilization of the service.

S. Berhanu is an employee in one of the government health facilities in Ethiopia, with academic title of Masters of Science in Maternity and Reproductive Health. She has ample experiences in maternal and child health services, working in different governmental and international non-governmental organization with different position in health sector.
