This book discusses the fundamentals of temporal bone imaging, covering multiplanar and three-dimensional imaging anatomy, emerging imaging techniques, and critical pathologies. The chapters are structured around distinct pathologies, enhancing the interpretation of computed tomography and magnetic resonance imaging scans. Each chapter discusses imaging techniques paired with relevant anatomical insights, addressing congenital anomalies of the temporal bone, infections, neoplasia, trauma, cochlear implantation, and post-operative imaging assessments. The book is supplemented with images, case studies, and supplementary DICOM data to aid conceptual understanding. This book will be relevant for radiologists and ENT surgeons as well as postgraduate trainees and fellows in radiology and otorhinolaryngology.

Dr. Harsha Vardhan Mahalingam, completed his MBBS from Madras Medical College, Chennai, India; and post-graduation in radiology from Postgraduate Institute of Medical Education and Research (PGIMER), Chandigarh, India; senior residency and fellowship in cross-sectional imaging from Christian Medical College (CMC), Vellore, India. Dr. Mahalingam is working as a consultant radiologist at Sri Ramachandra Institute of Higher Education and Research (SRIHER), Chennai, India. He has published many papers in peer-reviewed national and international journals and delivered numerous lectures at various national and international conferences.
