Beschreibung

Non-attendance for outpatient appointment results in a myriad of ineptitude, disorganization and ineffectiveness. Patients non-attendance is a major problem for the health provider and hospital management in terms of cost and productivity. Few studies have sought to understand factors responsible for non-attendance in out-patient physiotherapy compared to others health professions. This book presents a study that investigated the rate of initial non-attendance for out-patient physiotherapy, assessed the perceptions of physiotherapists on factors influencing patients non-attendance and also identified patients at risk of missing an appointment by using a prediction model.
