Human hand is a delicate and complicated multisystem organization. It provides sensory information and performs various movements to let us interact with the physical environment.At an individual level the consequences of stroke can be devastating. Residual neurologic deficits can impact upon an individuals ability to move (e.g. Walking), perform activities of daily living (ADL) (e.g. Feeding, dressing, grooming) & impair the quality of life. Stroke can affect each aspect of an individuals life as represented by the WHOs International Classification of Functioning, disability & health. It can impair bodily functions & structure, limit activity & restrict participation. Globally stroke is the third most common cause of death [after Coronary Heart Disease (CHD) & cancers]. It is leading cause of permanent disability, frequently associated with severe loss of motor capacity. Hence this book gives a detail about EMG (Electromyography) Biofeedback & Mirror Therapy and Physiotherapy Management and Prevention Strategies to improve Hand Function in acute and sub-acute post stroke patient.

She had clinical and Research Exposure under the guidance of Dr. Suvarna Ganvir, HOD & Professor at DVPPF's, COPT, Ahmednagar. She had published Research Articles in reputed International Journals.
